Faculty and staff,
As we continue to combat the global pandemic, we remind all faculty and staff of your obligation to report to the University if you have tested positive for COVID-19, are exhibiting symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive. Managers who learn that an employee has tested positive or has been exposed to a person with COVID-19 are also reminded to report this information. This is a requirement of the Sonoma County Department of Public Health and applies to all faculty and staff, regardless of whether you are working on campus or are telecommuting. To report, call the COVID Monitoring Team at (707) 664-COVID (2684) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. SSU follows the HIPAA privacy laws that ensure individual health information remains confidential.
Please remember that you are required to complete a Daily Wellness Screening every time you come to campus, even if it is only a short-term visit. The Daily Wellness Screening checks whether you potentially have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive and provides instructions for next steps.
These steps are crucial to keeping our campus and community safe. Failure to report may result in personnel action pursuant to the collective bargaining agreements. We encourage you to stay vigilant in prioritizing your health and safety at all times.
