You're Eating on Campus

The CDC states that eating indoors while not physically distancing is one of the “highest risk” activities in relation to the spread of COVID-19. While physical distancing is extremely important, indoor dining, even with physical distancing, is still considered to be “high risk” according to the CDC.

Based on this level of risk, the University has developed and implemented guidance regarding eating in communal dining areas within the University and has prohibited food and drink in all classrooms.

This page addresses “other” areas on campus where the consumption of food may occur and provides recommendations to lower the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
